Holy Spirit Hospital is a medical facility in Makeni, a city in the Northern Region of Sierra Leone, which treats 300 in-patients and 12,000 out-patients per month. Doctors with Africa (CUAMM) , an NGO working to promote quality healthcare in the country, provided the funds to finance a 30kWP solar plant at the hospital.
The solar plant is a grid-tied system that powers the whole hospital, helping it to reduce its expenses on electricity from the grid, and lowering the consumption of diesel when the generator is used.
